My comp shingle roof is nearing the end of its life and has lost a few tiles. Is there a coating product that can be applied?
The shingles coming loose should be remedied immediately, before expensive water damage is done.
Have a trusted roofing professional -- or better yet, your insurance adjuster -- come take a look at the remainder of the roof. Loose shingles can occur without serious degradation of the asphalt and fiberglass. The cause is usually high winds or hail, but wind especially if the roof is not pitched enough (less than 4:12).
