Ford F-150 EcoBoost V6 Beats V8 Competitors in Towing Challenge
The Baja 1000 wasn’t the only head-to-head competition that one unit of Ford’s new 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine faced during months of torture testing. Before it raced 1,000 miles across the harsh Mexican desert, that V6 EcoBoost in an F-150 crew-cab pickup also beat V8-powered pickups from Chevrolet and Ram towing 9,000-pound trailers up the steep Davis Dam hill climb in Arizona.
