Homes for sale scarce as sellers wait for price rebound

Profits at big U.S. companies broke records last year, and so did pay for CEOs. The head of a typical public company made $9. U.S. bank earnings rose in the first three months of the year to the highest level in nearly five years, and the number of troubled banks fell for the fourth straight quarter.
