Budget Proposal would Cut Transportation Funding 31%
The House Budget Committee last Wednesday approved a budget resolution for fiscal year 2012 and beyond. The “Path to Prosperity, Restoring America’s Promise” was prepared by Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and addresses every aspect of the federal budget from domestic spending to entitlement programs to taxes. For transportation, the budget slashed total spending by 31% from current levels. (More at
