Environmental engineering firm Malcolm Pirnie is looking for 25 to 50 acres on the Atlantic Coast for a desalination plant, reports the Daytona Beach News-Journal. The Coquina Coast Seawater Desalination Project will likely be located in northern Volusia County or somewhere further north.
