Home construction slows to a crawl

Construction workers move roofing tiles onto the roof of a newly built home in a housing development in Dublin, California. New home construction tumbled in February to a building pace that economists consider well below what's healthy for the economy .Builders broke ground last month on the fewest homes in nearly two years, a reflection of declines in home prices and low demand that has made it difficult for them to compete.
