Researcher Replacing up to 70% of Cement in Concrete with Fly Ash
Missouri University of Science and Technology research is studying increased amounts of fly ash used to replace as much as 70% of the cement in concrete mixes. If successful, the effort could divert millions of tons of the waste product from coal-fired power plants and other processes away from ponds and landfills, plus reduce CO2 emissions.
