House GOP Proposes $11.5 Billion Cut in Transport Funding
Transportation and Housing funding for fiscal-year 2011 would be reduced by 17%, or $11.5 billion, in an effort to reduce federal spending to 2008 levels (pre-ARRA and financial bailout). It’s the largest proposed cut (by percentage), followed by Justice and Commerce seeing a 16% cut. (More at Federal Transportation Issues blog . . . )
