Expect Stalled Heavy Construction for 2 Years
Heavy construction spending slipped 4.1% in the last year and is projected to take two years to recover the lost ground. Heavy construction spending has been stalled for three years and is expected to remain stymied with the collapse of highway trust funds and local government budgets and Congressional unwillingness to maintain stimulus funding levels of 2009.
