A bus driver who drove into an access platform killing the operator failed two eye tests after the incident, according to reports in the Manchester Evening News.
An inquest heard that Martin Pilling, a 27 year old sign writer, was killed when he fell from the platform after it was struck by a bus driven by Krzysztof Ociepa at around 8am on 1 November 2006.
