Six construction deaths in a week shocks industry

There have been six construction-related fatalities in a week, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has revealed.

Details are very sketchy but it is known that one worker died on 18 October in Bradford when the trench he was working in collapsed on top of him. On 20 October Essex police was alerted to a fatality in a field adjacent to Junction 29 of the M25during where a worker had been struck by an excavator.

Two people were killed the following day by a collapsing wall in Worlingworth,
